Dive Cayman app for iPhone and iPad

The Cayman Islands pristine reefs and diverse marine life are unique to the Caribbean. Diving the Caymans is like diving the Caribbean the way it used to be - untouched and unspoiled.

The Dive Cayman App is unique and the way a diving App should be - interactive and universally informative. Dive Cayman is the first diving App tailored specifically for the diver in mind while on, or off, the Cayman Islands. Made by divers, for divers.

If you are not in the Cayman Islands when you use the App, no problem. The App will ask you if you want to automatically zoom to the islands within the map, giving you interactive access to the dive site mapping functions. Also included, in case you do not have internet access if you are on a boat, or a plane, etc. are the Offline Dive Site maps. See each island and plot your dive itinerary even if you cant access the interactive dive site map. Other than that, all the other features of the App do not require an internet access, every thing is built-in!

Now, if you are in the Cayman Islands, the Dive Cayman App will pinpoint your location and do many things for you. First, you will notice the map zoom into your location. This gives you an instant overview of all the dive sites nearest to your location.

- On the interactive map, tap a dive flag to open a detailed info box with the name of the dive site and its rating by the users of the Dive Cayman App. Every rating is captured and pushed to other users when they run the app. Tap on the arrow icon in the info box and you get a detailed Dive Site screen, chock full of everything you need to know about that site... even how far it is from your location! From here you can rate the site, add personal notes about the site, and mark the site as did dive, plan to dive, or did not dive. That creates a Dive Log so you can remember which sites you want to dive.

- Go to the Dive Site List and scroll the dive sites. See the rating, the location on the island, distance, and if it is a snorkeling site. Filter the results by Name, Nearest to you, and by Snorkeling. Also on this screen is the previously mentioned Dive Log.

- The beautiful Fish Identification feature of the App highlights over 115 fish, creatures, and corals that are found in the Cayman Islands. Scroll through the list, each with thumbnail images, and tap on an item to reveal a detailed screen of information. From here you can even mark the fish, creature, or coral as Seen. Access to the comprehensive Dive Site List opens so you can create your personal Fish Id Log.

- What would a Dive App be without weather? Up to the minute weather conditions and 5 day forecasts right within the App!

- A two-sectioned General Information screen is also included that gives you a wealth of information about each of the Cayman Islands for your visit to the area, as well as a detailed list of Boat Diving Tips. Yes, its true, "Tip the Captain and crew"!

- Lastly, is the Settings screen (accessed from the Map screen). Choose between various Date Formats, Display Units (Imperial or Metric). If your location is not in the Caymans would you like the App to auto-zoom the map to the Caymans and not prompt you every time? If you do not have an internet connection, you can set the App to auto load the offline Dive Site Map. Its totally up to you!

iCloud backups. The App will send your ratings, dive log, notes, and seen fishes to iCloud so you can have mirrored data on all your devices.
